Louise Hurley - Owner/Manager
Hello, my name is Louise, and I bring over 22 years of experience in education and childcare to Hurley Birds Nursery. After graduating as a Secondary High School Teacher, I have had the privilege of working in two large mixed comprehensive high schools, where I sharpened my skills and passion for nurturing young minds.
As a parent of 12-year-old twins, one of whom has Special Educational Needs (SEN), I understand the unique challenges and rewards that come with raising children. Furthermore, my experience as a foster parent has deepened my commitment to providing compassionate and supportive care for all children.
Choosing a nursery can be a daunting task, especially for working parents of young children. It requires placing immense trust in someone else to care for your most precious treasures. I vividly recall the anxiety and hope I felt when making such decisions for my own children.

Hello, my name is Shaniese, and I am a Level 3 qualified childcare professional with over 10 years of experience working within the Early Years sector, supporting children from 3 months to 4 years olds
at Hurley birds I am located in the baby room.
Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for nurturing and supporting young children, helping them to feel safe, valued, confident and encouraged to reach their full potential.
In my current role as a Nursery Deputy, I have developed my leadership skills and gained valuable experience in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery. I work closely with the nursery management team and staff to maintain a high standard of care and education.
I have a particular passion for creativity, especially arts and crafts, and I love providing children with opportunities to explore their imagination through a variety of creative experiences
Simi - SENCo
Hi everyone, I’m Simi and I’m so excited to be joining the Hurley Birds Nursery family.
I’ve worked in early years for nearly 10 years, gaining experience across nursery and Montessori settings. During this time, I’ve completed my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, trained as a Montessori teacher, and more recently developed my skills as a SENCO. I’ve always been passionate about creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
Becoming a first-time mum has given me an even deeper appreciation for how important these early years are and how special it is to be part of a child’s journey as they grow, learn and discover the world around them.
One of the things that really stood out to me about Hurley Birds was the warm, homely feel of the nursery. I love that it feels like a place where children can feel safe, secure and truly cared for.
I feel very lucky to be able to do a job I love and to support children through such an important stage of their lives, helping them build confidence, develop their independence and create happy memories along the way. I'm really looking forward to knowing all the children and families and becoming part of the Hurley Birds Family.

My name is Ruby, and I am thrilled to be starting my career in childcare. It has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I have completed valuable work experience in a pre-school setting, which has only deepened my passion for this field.
On a regular basis, I look after my infant cousin, attending to all his wants and needs. I find joy in engaging with him through fun activities and watching him learn new things. I am eagerly looking forward to meeting all of you and embarking on this exciting journey together!

With nearly 50 years of experience working with children from birth, I have devoted my life to nurturing the growth and development of young minds. Throughout my career, the most rewarding moments have always been seeing their faces light up with joy and amazement when they discover something new or accomplish a task independently for the first time. Meeting and interacting with each child is something I eagerly anticipate, and I am committed to making a positive difference in their lives. I am excited to meet your children and embark on this adventure together.
